You can't control what others think about you and it's usually a waste of time to worry about it. Do you want to liberate your mind from the unnecessary noise and build your sustainable confidence at the same time? Here are a few tips to get you started:
Identify and acknowledge your own accomplishments (no matter how small) without comparing them to others'.
Identify and work towards a goal, even if it is a small one. People who are working towards a personal or professional goal are generally happier people.
Remember, a person’s reaction to you is more a reflection of how they view themselves rather than a genuine reaction to you.
Ask yourself, can you alter your thoughts about a situation to allow you to maintain some level of control? There are usually more than 2 elements in any situation, and you always have a choice.
Shut down your own judgement of others. Everyone is seeing reality through their own filter, and we all have very personal experiences that have shaped our opinions and behavior.
Stop comparing other people to yourself or to each other. Life is tough. Each one of us is having our own experience and you don’t know what is going on behind a person’s eyes.
Ask questions! Lots and lots of questions. The more you ask clarifying questions in situations, the more comfortable you will become with having new adventures and trying new things.
